CURIOUS FACTS: HOW MANY DEGREES DOES COFFEE LIQUEUR HAVE?
Coffee liqueur has a significant alcohol content, although this varies depending on the type and the proportion of distilled liquor it contains compared to syrup. It usually ranges from 15 to 40 degrees, with 30 degrees being the most common, but as you can see, there are others with a lower percentage. As a general rule, the lower the alcohol content of the liqueur, the higher the proportion of syrup and sweetener it contains.
The alcohol content is measured in degrees and represents the liquor’s content per 100 cc. Therefore, the intrinsic alcohol content depends on the amount of distilled liquor in the bottle. When consuming any type of liqueur, it’s essential to check the label to see what kind of distilled liquor was used in its production. It may happen that it doesn’t even appear on the label, which is usually because alcohol obtained from the distillation of various grains like corn, wheat, rye, barley, oats, rice, or a mixture of them has been used. This type of alcohol is widely used in cosmetics for its multiple uses.
In our case, we use Orujo brandy made from Godello grapes from the El Barco de Valdeorras valley, the mother of Atlantic wine, in the province of Ourense. It’s an idyllic place for brandy production.
OTHER USES OF COFFEE LIQUEUR
In addition to enjoying the liqueur directly without any mixtures, which is how we recommend enjoying LICOR BELLO BLANCO, there are many people who can’t tolerate high-proof drinks but still enjoy other types of concoctions, such as cocktails or who occasionally like to drink something different and fun.
It’s true that liqueurs have various flavors and high alcohol content, although it may vary. In the case of liqueurs based on brandy, they usually have one of the highest alcohol contents. That’s why it’s important to consider this when making cocktails, as you can mix them with other beverages to create delicious coffee-flavored cocktails.

To make this drink, you’ll need a shaker or mixing glass. Add the ice, preferably in small sizes, to chill the ingredients more quickly.
Next, add the whiskey, BELLO BLANCO, triple sec, and lemon and orange juice. Then, cover and shake it thoroughly to combine all the components.
Finally, serve it in an “Old Fashioned” glass or cocktail glass with ice. Garnish with a strip of orange or lemon.
